Dear YoVillian,
We are here to help YOU, the honest YoVillian, to stay safe in YoVille or, if you have been victimised by scammers, harassers etc, to help you know what to do in order to get recourse and to get back up on your feet. We are here to give you hints and tips on what to look out for when spotting scammers and other villains in YoVille. We ask for no coins, yocash or gifts in return for our services. Cleaning up YoVille is its own reward.
We moved to YoVille at the beginning of March 2009, but soon became aware
of a host of scammers, hackers and other unsavoury types that were spoiling the game. The makers of the game, Zynga, are snowed
under by problems caused by scammers, hackers and other nefarious criminals,
and so we thought that we would help to be part of the solution. To this end, we set up the agency within the game, and we go about YoVille targeting scammers, hackers, harassers,
paedophiles and other such felons who should not be in the town. We do this in a legal way that is endorsed by
Zynga, and do not seek to become harassers ourselves – we don’t want to become
part of the problem.
We are independent of Zynga, being a private detective agency, but we take the YoVille Rules as the criteria by which we define the legality of people's actions in YoVille. These are:
DO NOT
1. Abuse or harrass other YoVillians
2. Threaten others with violence or act out violence in YoVille
3. Use hate speech or make rude comments about others' race, religion, gender or sexuality
4. Discuss or act out sexual acts in YoVille
5. Exchange personal information that could be used to locate you or other people in real life
6. Rob or scam other Yovillians
7. Use programs to hack, script or modify YoVille in any way
8. Create duplicate accounts in YoVille for scamming, cheating or any other reason
9. Break the law or discuss with others breaking the law
We are here to stop you becoming the next victim of a crime, or if you sadly already have, to show you what action to take. So if you have a problem, if no-one else can help, and if you can find us, maybe you can hire the RAPTOR PRIVATE DETECTIVE AGENCY!
